Bail stays at $600K for murder suspect Foreman

A judge refused to lower the $600,000 bail this morning for Joeryan Foreman, 20, who is charged in the gunshot execution of a victim whose body was then set afire in a car.

Mercer Superior Court Judge Pedro Jiminez made the decision in a video bail hearing after reviewing the charges against him, including murder, robbery, and weapons offenses.

Foreman and Calier Samad, 26, allegedly robbed Chevin Burgess, 22, and shot him in the head before torching the car the night of Jan. 4 on along Hart Avenue.

Samada, the alleged mastermind of the robbery-execution is being held on $1 million bail at the Wagner state prison.

Burgess’ body was doused with gasoline and set on fire, authorities said. Firefighters found the corpse after dousing the flames. He was identified by dental records.
